Fair Week
Today is the start of what is sure to be a very long week. It happens EVERY YEAR, and yet it still hits us like a semi. Fair Week. Tommy, Dad and I got up at the crack of dawn.. okay before the crack of dawn (4:45ish) to take the pigs to fair. Oh what fun. It was still dark. It was cold. But hey, at least they're there now. Today Phileep (Pronounced Phil-leap) and Lola will be weighed and then just hang around in their pens for the day. Tomorrow is a different story. We will be on the fair grounds by six-thirty in the morning, bathing the piggies, brushing them and getting them ready for shows. First up is Showmanship starting a nine, then Market Class after. We take a break, eat lunch, go home for a few hours, and come back just in time for the seven o'clock Open Show. There will be pictures at some point, I promise. But for now, wish us luck!

Harry Potter
Dominic is obsessed with Harry Potter. So is Audrey. It is a fact. They have wands made out of sticks and scars drawn with lip liner. They wear the old Hogwarts robes that mom made for me and Tommy when we had the Potter bug. They go around humming the theme of the movies and fight off everything from spiders wearing roller skates to Voldemort himself. The only thing missing from their Harry Potter ensemble would be-you guessed it-GLASSES. Now, Audrey, being more of the Hermione type does not need such things, but Dominic? If he had it his way he'd have dyed his hair black and figured out a way to have a permanent lightning bolt placed on his forehead. Like I said before, the boy is OBSESSED. So, Audrey being the resourceful, fantastic Hermione-type that she is, made him a pair of glasses out of paper. They soon discovered these amazing spectacles would not stay behind Dom's ears without a little adhesive. Their final way of attaching them? GLUE. DOTS. According to Dominic they are "Suction Cup Glasses". When I take the pictures I shall post them.
